Hello once more. I recently came here to ask a question about gameplay time which was answered but I still have more questions.
Can you choose your own armor and weapons in this game and are there any merchants? I've read articles about WITN but can't find any information about these things. From the recent E3 gameplay video, I've seen there's an inventory and also loot but do armor and weapons have visible changes on your character? Also will you be able to buy armor and weapons or is all loot from chests and drops from enemies?
Also, during the E3 gameplay video, I saw that at one point in the video, the player was playing as the dwarf but was previously playing as the elf, was this co-op or can the player control all characters and do these characters venture with you during single player?

Hello again, HolyTemplarKnight :D
You can choose your own set of armour and it will have visible changes for your character. If you browse through the screenshot section of this site, you'll already see a few different sets of armour. You'll be able to equip just several pieces of armour too though, and create your own combination of armour pieces. You can best compare the armour in this game to a game like Dragon Age.
You will probably be able to buy and sell armour in the game. Merchants have been confirmed to be in towns like Bree. So you can find items enemies drop, loot chests or just buy gear from a merchant.
We don't know exactly how the switching between characters works, but I think you'll be able to switch characters at certain areas. So you won't be able to switch back and forth between two characters all the time, but you're able to start playing as a Human and switch to an Elf after 3 levels and switch back to a human when you completed another level. You won't be able to control your party members, but you will be able to give short commands to them (attack, defend, stay here, ... ) and Snowblind promised that the AI will be rather good and help you in every possible way.
I hope this answers your questions :D

That's good to know. Thanks for the answer. I'm certainly trying out WITN later this year. It can't be as bad as Conquest, seriously, the company who made that shouldn't have been allowed to make it, it was totally against LOTR lore. Judging WITN's E3 gameplay, WITN has a true LOTR feel to it and while the combat doesn't look the greatest, it certainly looks more realistic than anything Conquest offered!
