Red ring of death anyone?

has anyone else gotten the red ring if death? really sad day for me. i didnt think it would happen either becaue ive had my 360 for such a long time with no problems whatsoever.
one day the screen just went crazy and then capoot, red ring.

i sent it into UPS and the lady was like "oh yeah this happens all the time we get about 3 a day"

its amazing how many people get this!

I've had it happen twice which is why most of my gaming now happens on my PS3. It's just a matter of time before mine dies again.

I've had my PS3 since it was released in Europe in March 2007. Never once has it died on me or broken in anyway or form.

I have had a Xbox 360 for 3+ year and I sadly had the RROD once.

its so wierd because i never thought it would happen to me! my xbox ran so smooth since 2007 and now all the sudden, poof RROD. what scares me is the fact that it might happen again. i hope it doesnt...

At least my experience with Microsoft was nice. I got about $80 worth of stuff for my troubles. I may have been a special case since I complained to them, but my friend got a year of Xbox Live for free.

I've had two RRoD's so far, and I dread the prospect of getting another since my warranty is now gone. It's a shame, plain and simple, though the last time it happened I did pleasantly rediscover the outdoors...but I certainly don't want to have to deal with it again!

My luck my machine will RROD on War in the North's release date... but then I will just "borrow" my borther's machine.

If that fails then I still have my PC. If all three are busted then I have bigger worries. Lol.

If the ring is giving you so much problems, then maybe you should haul it to Mount Doom (on Earth we call it Iceland for now), and destroy it by throwing it into the fire.

Had first 360 for about a year, then red ring then I had to wait for 3 months before microsoft fixed mine.... On my 3rd 360. Had my ps3 after like a year after it was released and hasnt failed me yet.
