Unacceptable - Defective

Yep similair problem with PS3. I get confused with all of these posts... but I am not playing online.. simply two controllers and one PS3 - it should not be any easier than this. I called customer support and they had no clue... supposedly they are "escalating". I don't play a lot of these games but for 50+ bucks the saving and loading of games should be straight forward.

Do people from this company read the posts and reply ever? This is frustrating - simple question.... why can't they help!!!!

I am also extremely dissapointed. sorry snowblind. This game has way too many bugs. i cant even finish it cuz of the crashes. i too might also just get skyrim. this is just ridiculous

I wouldn't be too eager to just get Skyrim. There's no guarantees that game won't have issues as well, especially considering the sheer scope of that game. I'll likely get Skyrim as well, but this time will wait for a month or two until the nasty glitches get sorted out. Bear in mind, 'Dead Island' if you've heard of that game, came out early September. Many people that played over 40+ hours [it's a big game ] had corrupted save files and no resolution for weeks to come. I got Dead Island 6 weeks after release, thankfully major issues were sorted out.
Obviously I didn't do that this time and jumped on the new release bandwagon, a bad gamble in this case.
All we can do is wait, at the mercy of the developer.
I firmly believe there should be rigid quality assurance standards set in place for the video gaming industry, such that deviation from those standards would result in degradation of their 'A+' status etc. Possible legal repercussions as well, of not abiding by set standards. Granted those rules may be hard to agree upon, but I'm sure something could be worked out. Hopefully that's in the foreseeable future, based upon the ever more common poor quality releases.

We are definitely reading this forum daily and attempting to reproduce issues as they are reported. We do have a patch planned, and I hope to have more details soon.

SnowblindTina - thank you for the response. We are going to just start over fresh... Again just two player on the same PS3 - each choosing a character. Is there anything that we need to do to make sure that both characters are saving correctly? We only play at the same time so there is no way it should get out of sync. When we load the game - it says User 1 and Player 2.... then it keeps saying Player 2 does not have a profile. I have looked at the online manual and called customer support - but no luck. Can you help me understand how to correctly save and load a saved game? Again... we are not playing on-line.... i see posts about having the other person "host" the game but since we are just playing 2 players on one PS3 I don't think that applies to me.

So going to start the game over so if you can help me understand how to appropriately save a load a game I would really appreciate it.

If anyone is having issues with it saving do what I call a "forced" save. This occurs anytime you go to a vendor or enter the settings screen.

If I am ready to get off I play to the next spot that allows me to travel back to the hub, I go to the hub and then run to a vendor usually the blacksmith bc equipment always needs repairing, right? Once you repair and leave the vendor it does a save, then I get off. I have yet to have any trouble with this online or offline.

Or you can skip the above step, hit the start button, scroll down the the setting option select it then just simply back out and it forces the system to save to "update" any setting changes you "may" have made.

I hope this little bit helps with those who log off and lose their data or have to replay certain areas...

MJM23- I am also only playing locally. The save system is bugged when you play Co-op right now. The best thing you can do is wait till they make a patch.

Are both players signed in with PSN "accounts"? (i.e. have you created a "user" on the PS3 dashboard, and then signed in both of those users at the character select screen?)

i've got the same problem the my x-box just freezes when i try to start the game, i can play however when i'm on a different gamertag but it's not my live account.
i hope this can be fixed.
i've have a great time playing this game, there are some problems but i enjoy it.
