Why this game is getting unfair reviews

i dont pay mind to reviews usually.

i did read the gamespot one (which only confirms the fact they spend no time with these games b4 posting them) or instead of the stuff they did complain about, the obvious flaws with this game lie in the bugs that permeate throughout, that could cause your adventure to come to an end at any given point, and that is inexcusible in this day and age for the amount of money these games cost now.

dont get me wrong, i love this game, but ive had brushes with no good things (post patch, we need about 4 more) that others have also experienced, so i know im not alone in the hopes that they make this game right.

LOTR WITR is absolutely my favourite game. I loved the combat, loot, and storyline, but I do agree that I did not get attached to any of the characters too much. They really don't show much expression throughout the game.

While I agree that this game is getting unfair reviews, I have to say I felt your review of these reviews was also unfair. This is because you cut out little excerpts of other reviews to suit your needs of bashing on them. The only fair way to read a review is to read the whole thing and these people might have said things to justify their comments which were excluded here (notice I say MIGHT).

Those people haven't said things to justify their negative scores. I can understand why one might give the game an average score but a negative score? No. Like the reviewers, the OP took excerpts just as they took excerpts from the game. They attack the fact that trolls appear often later on in the game but they don't mention how team-work and tactics works well against them.

I think many went in expecting this to be a different type of game. Probably a Bioware game. Christ, this game is better than Dragon Age 2 which professional reviewers praised highly but fans bashed. Dragon Age 2 was an average game for me, ruined by jumping waves of ninjas, ridiculously fast combat, choices not having big consequences and copy and pasted areas. You tell me how those reviewers gave DA2 an 8/9 but WITN a negative score?

Money, money, money.

It's the same how they ignore Skyrim's bugs and praise that game but mention WITN's bugs and bash it.

Well, let the reviewers play COD and let those who believe them miss out and let them continue to play their COD.

This game is great. It's too bad there are bugs on certain platforms. The xbox 360 I've been through so many playthroughs with minor or no problems and having a great time.

I'd hate to see the Snowblind crew hang their hat and not make these kind anymore. They're so much fun. Yes I tried Dragon Age 2 and quit early. I enjoyed Dragon Age 1 but for same reasons above I got bored quick in 2.

I'm going to have to agree with the critics on this one. It's an enjoyable but highly flawed game. Based on my first two playthroughs (patched) I'd rate it around 40% at best even 0% for an "incomplete would not be wrong. Without the patch I've had no issues at all and the score shoots up to a quite respectable 85%
