READ FIRST: Are you experiencing an issue AFTER the patch?

I am playing in Canada. I am continuing a game I have started NOT starting a new game.

I tried starting the game using the co-op player as the host. The problem with not being able to save because the game is further ahead than the co-op player has been solved. However, I still cannot load the game as it freezes on the loading screen. Basically when I try to start the game from Chapter 5 part 4 the game freezes on the mirkwood loading screen.

If it does not allow you to progress and is freezing regardless of who hosts, then one of the saves is corrupted, and unfortunately, you may be one of the cases that requires a full restart in order to apply the patch fully and remove these issues going forward.

Other things you could try would be:
1) Play solo with each game save to see whose game is the one that is corrupted.
2) Join with another player either online or local who is behind your current save, and then "play through" the crash. That has been reported as a workaround for some users.

Other than that, to get the full patch fix, it would unfortunately require a full restart.

Post-patch continuing a saved game from Chapter 8 Prologue, playing in local split-screen.

My sis and I are playing first time through on Normal. Right now we are at Nordinbad and can't continue any further.
Carn Dum doesn't show up on the map (which, as of right now I'm not sure if it's even supposed to), and the compass doesn't show where we're supposed to go. We've tried talking to everyone in the game and traveled to multiple places. We were stuck here before the patch and figured it's probably a bug. We've also restarted and system after installing the patch, and are still stuck.

Also the subtitle, "Andriel: Waiting On Other Players..." doesn't going away.

And after the patch and restarting the system, for the quest "Cult of the Lidless Eye-Scrolls," it says in our inventory that we have 7/7 but on the regular screen during gameplay it says we have 0/7.

The bottom two don't really seem to bother me, but we would love to play through the whole game.
We would rather not start a new game, but if we need to we will. Is it best that we do delete our game and start over?

What part of Nordinbad are you at? Are you there the first time, or are you there on a return visit. Have you tried having your sister host the game to see if it resolves the issue? Have you tried having someone pick Andriel to see if it resolves the issue?

If you restart it should solve the problem, but if you try the above first, we may find a workaround that doesn't require you having to replay.

Stuck in Nordinbad

Which System are you on (Xbox 360/PS3/Steam/OnLive?) PS3
What issue are you experiencing? I.e. rather than saying "the game stopped working," Please provide details including what is currently happening. Currently stuck in Nordinbad unable to continue the game. The inner door counter shows at the top but the trolls do not reappear. There is no one to talk to and no way to travel out of this area. The only thing to do is restart the game. The patch loaded before we began playing today and there have been no issues prior to getting stuck here. Restarting the game or the system does not help. Changing characters did not help. Would love to continue current game so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Was the issue occurring an identical way before the patch? No
Are you playing a NEW game after the patch, or are you continuing your pre-patch game? Continuing game
How were you playing at the time? (Solo/Local Split Screen/Online/Combo?) Split Screen/Local
Did the issue resolve itself after turning on and off your console? No

Stuck in Nordinbad

Before you start over, can you do the following?
1) Try to see if either player's save game can progress past this area? (I.e. if you load in as a solo player do the trolls show up?)
2) Try to have whichever player was the second slot today, host the game.

It sounds like you're in the area directly after you beat the trolls in the "Siege of Nordinbad" is that accurate?

When we started today after the patch we seem to be in a limbo. The Turrets are back but there is nothing to shoot and the trolls did not reappear. There is no one to talk to and nothing to do so we are stuck completely. If you have any other suggestions I will gladly try them. If not we will start a new game and see how that goes.

We are at the part after we stopped the attack on Nordinbad, before the travel to Carn Dum. We've traveled to Rivendale, and to the Dragon's Lair again, in an attempt to figure out how to move forward in the game. We've tried alternating hosts and it didn't work. And my sister is playing as Andriel. I think we're going to restart. But thank you for all the help! Since it's a fun game anyways, attempting to power through the beginning again won't be a headache or a heartache. Thanks again for the good communication with your consumers and work to get all the bugs out!
