Which stat is the most important ?

When leveling up , the choice of distributing the points you get always takes me ages to do.
I play as Erodan so I assume dexterity is important to him but I'm not sure at which point I should stop spending points in the other stats ,
    He's currently around : 65-102-85-63.

And with that being said , what is most important , high armour or lower armour with stat bonusses.
Ofcourse a mix of both would probably be the best but often I'm afraid to toss away lower armour with bonusses for higher armour without any bonusses because I'm not sure what the effect will be.

It all depends on your priorities. First, you should know:

1 point of strength = 3 points of melee damage (both +min and + max)
1 point of dexterity = 3 points of ranged damage (both +min and + max)
1 point of stamina = 5 points of health
1 point of will = 3 points of power

If you use the mithril runes from Arwen's quest on a piece of armor it gives +150 Armor, +5000% Reduced Wear, and + 30 Dexterity (on legendary, heroic and normal give less bonuses). This means with multiple runs through the game, dexterity will be entirely provided for by your armor. I currently have no points at all into dexterity on any of my characters, yet for all of them it is the highest stat.

Also, if you are using mithril on armor, you will be getting the armor bonus as well, making you character tougher. This decreases (but does not eliminate) the need for stamina. Generally, you want a stamina ranging 38-46 on a level 40 character (that way they can equip the best armors). So if you mithril armor, put your points in strength.

HOWEVER, if instead you choose to mithril weapons, then you receive +150 damage, +300 crit damage, and + 5000% reduced wear. This gives no stat changes. You will do more damage, and thus may need to supplement your stamina and will more to balance out your character.

This having been said, you have many more armor pieces than weapons equipped at any one time, so unless you double up a weapon to an ungodly degree, if you play through many times you will end up putting mithril on armor, and thus will not need any dexterity.

As for where to put your other points (that you hopefully are not putting in dexterity), it really depends on your play style. I dodge and roll a lot, so for me raw damage is more important than armor, because I rarely get hit, but also hit enemies less often. For someone who wades through enemies dealing pain left and right, a high armor and stamina would be mandatory.
Boy, that was incredibly easy. Imagine if we had walked all that way.

at the start of your campaign you should try leveling your stats and then as you progress work on key stats and areas of strength and health.

I always find myself low on power since I spam my skills. I do use potions, but it takes a precious second (and a free hand on my controller) to activate. So I always put all my points in Will for each character. If I lack the proper equipment to increase temprorary Strength and Stamina at items' required levels though, I auto-assign points and respecialise later.

I find other attributes are less important but that's my playstyle then.
