Mount Gundabad

I am a newbie to this kind of game so what I am asking may seem elementary, but I need some help. I play Andriel and am in Mt Gundabad. We have been through the first half of the battle with Bruni and Nordri. They have gotten on the horn to call the orcs. I have fought from the floor with my mates. I have stayed up high and used my staff to shoot. I have mounted the fixed cross bows. We seemingly have killed every troll and urekhai that has come through, but I find myself suddenly dead and the game over. Is my life linked to the lives of Bruni and Nordri? What more can I do to keep them alive. I have played this part about 8 times and can't seem to break through whatever is required.

If Bruni and Nordri die, you will lose your objective and die as a result. Make sure they don't get too overwhelmed by the Uruks and Trolls. If I remember correctly there is a small green bar representing the Dwarves remaining health, basically make sure you don't run out of green...

Yes and the best easiest way to complete that section of Gundabad level is to play as Farin of Erebor; the dwarf and if you equip him with the explosive shot it works wonders! Use it as a crowd control method around Bruni son of Bain;who is defending his fellow dwarf Nordri, son of Gorin(Lord of Nordinbad) who is blowing the horn and calling the Orcs and all of the fell creatures for you and AI of either Eradan, Andriel, or Farin if you playing as the other to contend with. I've played on legendary and beaten it as Farin relatively quick and the health stat bar of Bruni and Nordri has only dropped to about 60% to 45% by the end! Not bad against the horde of spawn of Sauron..... Now going to try beating it as Eradan with Buri's Masterpiece Bow upgraded with Mithril from the 2nd sidequest by the Lady Arwen Evenstar in Rivendell.

I have passed this stage using all 3 Characters, although Farin was by far the fastest & easiest way with the explosive shot. Something that you might also look at is the archers, they hit hard, and will pick of the guy at the horn if you don't take them out quickly( they like to run 1/2 way up the ramps to the crossbows and shoot him form there.)
