Screwed in Mirkwood

It is 2/28/12 (over 3 months since the games release) and I cannot proceed beyond Mirkwood on my PS3 version of the game. I have defeated Seanathra and cannot proceed to the Grey Mountains. I am far from being alone in this issue. I too have called tech support for Warner Brothers only to be told to restart my game and then I will "probably" be able to get past the "Mirkwood Glitch". I shouldn't have to restart my game, it took me over 20 hours to get to this point. There should be a patch for this. If the game was brand new or if I was the only customer having this issue I would understand Snowblind not devoting resources to solving the issue. It is glaringly obvious that since the game didn't sell the number of units they were looking for Snowblind has "cut bait" and we are on our own. However, there are hundreds if not thousands of us that cannot finish a game we purchased with our own money. Since I can't finish the game (and no patch is ever going to be released to fix it) I asked for my money back since I was within the 90 warranty described in the manual. I was told they could send me another disc but they will not refund my purchase. So I will take this as a painful life lesson. There is a reason that Warner Bros Games started evaluating all of their games based on Metacritic and a reason Snowblind hasn't released anything since the PS2 era. They are not ready for prime time and when they release a troubled product they do not follow the industry standard procedures for making things right.

I mean, how hard can it possibly be to fix that issue?
A simple fix could be : make sure that players are NOT ALLOWED to go on when they didn't talk to Beleram after killing Wulfrun..
What is holding Snowblind back? It can't be that hard to release a freaking hotfix for a game breaking issue..

I returned to the forums today on the offchance that a patch had been released or that someone (anyone) from WB or Snowblind had responded with a positive statement as to what, if anything, was being done to fix these outrageous bugs. I should have known better. As such I am now consigning this disc to the rubbish and will hope that what goes around comes around for WB / SB in the future.

Change character, kill Seanathra again and see if you can talk to the eagle. This worked for me, have not yet had any feedback if it works for anyone else.

Right on...this is complete and total bunk, I don't understand how this game was released when it simply does not work. However, I will try Beary's suggestion above and see if it works. I was really enjoying the game, which makes this all the more painful.
