For anybody interested, a link to a video of the recent Hobbit media conference: http://www.3news.co.nz/The-Hobbit-me...0/Default.aspx
It seems that the cast are starting to form the same sort of camaradarie we've seen in the LOTR cast. One of my biggest concerns in regards to The Hobbit films was that Peter Jackson didn't have his heart in the project and that this might affect the cast and their working relationship. I think my fears are unwarranted, however.
Some interesting points from the video; it seems the Dwarves are going to be very distinct from one another. I assume this means less prosthetics and probably very varied beards. I'm glad to hear this; a cast of 13 characters who all looked the same wouldn't have been particularly memorable.
We also get some confirmation that the Dwarves will sing in the films. As Peter Jackson left out most of the singing in LOTR, this gives me some hope that he's more embracing of the nature of the book, so with some luck perhaps we will get talking Eagles, Wargs and Trolls.
