Merkwood glitches

My thoughts and questions are directed to the makers of WITN. 1st and foremost, why hasn't the glitches been fixed yet? It's been months since I paid near 60 bucks for this game. I'm having fun, I'm doing well, and I get to the area, where I kill a giant spider, and free a wizard.. and get stuck. I see the proceed fog. I enter it. What happened? The only 2 places I can go to, besides those already travelled, are challenges, where you are attacked by waves of enemies. I can't get to Urgost, I can't get to the Grey Mountains. and when I return to Merkwood, I have to fight the spider again, and free the wizard, again.. and still I have no place to go. I checked with another forum, and the user said, join a game with someone online, get through, Merkwood, and the glitch is fixed. Well, herein lies the problem, I don't play well with others, in that everytime I connect to someone, I'm booted, and given the message, "You cannot connect." Well, why not? Is this another glitch, too?

Look, I'm retired, and disabled, and this is all I do. I mean, I play video games. I'm also on a VERY fixed income. So, when I purchase a game I expect the game to work, I expect to be able to finish the game. It irritates me, that the publisher and the developers don't seem to give a rat's behind, and take their sweet time to fix the problems, or simply don't fix it at all. Try to get a refund from the retailer, after a month or two or more, or even from the publisher or developers. That's like NEVER. I paid $59.99 for this game, and I want to finish it, and I am trying to maintain a calm, and withholding several expletives in stating my dissatisfaction of how they are not providing the end-users with a product that has no defects. It's almost as if, they are kicking us in the face, and robbing us of 60 bucks, and running away. Like a thug on a big city street. Come on Warner Bros, get the developer, to get off their butts and fix these problems, ASAP. Trading the game in now, it's probably going to get you $4, selling it, maybe $5. So, if you want me to purchase anymore of your games, get cracking and fix this, PLEASE!!!!

I honestly don't think you'll be seeing a patch anytime soon. It seems as though Snowblind can't even figure out what's causing the problem. I myself don't know what triggers it. I've played through the game three times and have never encountered this bug. I suggest trying to play through again. It's my understanding that this bug only triggers if you have not completed the blacksmith side quest from Rivendell (the one where the elf asks you to find gems and ask Gloin to value them) and enter Mirkwood but I'm not sure.

If you must sell the game, use Amazon. You're bound to get more than $4 for it on there. I see the 360 version going for $19.00 but the game has been out for several months now so no surprise there.
