Lidless eye

I'm playing as an elf on heroic on Xbox. My first run through I wasn't able to complete lidless eye quest/achievement. I thought this was due to playing the character on single and multi, switching between the two. As far as I can remember every time it was multi I was host. I ended normal run through with 5 scrolls. So I decided to play heroic play through only single. Now I just finished ettenmoors and should be at 3 but I'm at 2. I've seen posted online that if u die, in same area, after getting scroll from Orc sorcerer (3rd scroll) you'll lose it with no way to get it back. I remember seeing 2 notices that I got both scrolls in ettenmoors. Now I died fighting the 2 trolls right before stone giant. This is in the last segment of ettenmoors, the first 2 segments each had one scroll, and I didn't die in those segments. The game has saved serval times between. Why do I only have 2 scrolls? Do I have to play entire game without dieing? I'm only missing 3 achievements, this is one. I know I can go back and get scroll from chest again and again, which is as I understand another glitch. But this won't help me get achievement. Can anyone help?

I ran into the issue of not being able to turn in the quest but the scrolls never vanished from my inventory. Could it be that you were online with someone else who had a higher story progression and thus your own progress wasn't saved?

You can reach the areas with scrolls and get them again, or you could when I did the trophy, so it may be the safest bet if you are having issues with your inventory or quest progression. Do check out the "double load" suggestion for quest progression, it may help.
