Having more players doesn't mean they have the highest average skill player base. It might mean they have more skilled players (quantity, not as a percentage of users), but they also have far, far more absolutely terrible players. WoW's PvP is perpetually unbalanced, and as many times as I tried to get into it, I absolutely could not enjoy the pvp in that game.

there is no denying that 99% of WoW players are atrocious but playing arena at a high level as unbalanced as it is and always will be it is still the best form of competitive MMORPG pvp available.

You don't have to enjoy WoW and I'm not saying you have to play WoW over any other MMO by any means my original intent when I first posted all i wanted to was to express my opinion regarding that I personally preferred playing WoW over LOTRO because the pvp is better. Everyone has different tastes and opinions

Yeah , but LOTRO has a far more better community than WoW ; and the game itself is beautiful , more than WoW

I must say LOTRO does have a great community but occasionally does get off track, for example yesterday when I was on in the comment panel a bunch of people were arguing about religion which felt quite awkward.

well some people do take this very seriously
i think tolkien would be quite upset about this after all he even denied that his books contained some sort of allegory:
for ex. the ring = nuclear energy or ring war=ww2
what tolkien meant to do originally was to create an english mythology as he felt that England lacked a mythology and this made him quite sad furthermore he was frustrated that he couldn't just pick up the books he'd like to read, and being the genious he was he just decided to write these books by himself (thx tolkien, you made a lot of people very happy )

Yeah , and also wee do NOT have to fuly compare the Lands or Peoples of Arda to existing civilizations , because it's only mythological and about fantasy . But there is a lot of criticism behind : the power , or the will of having more power brings you destructions and self destructions (Saruman , Sauron ) . Of course , there is also the debate between the Good and the Evil , and a strong link of friendship, love , and being united when darkness comes .

You can simply sign out of a channel that is detracting from your experience (ie. OOC channel in Bree), or you can specifically block users by ignoring them. Makes life easy.

Thanks Fexelea, but how can you buy a permanent horse? I see almost every player in the game having a horse and it takes half of my playing time just walking to different places, so can someone please tell me how to buy one.

Horses... I love horses! I'm on a quest to get all the horses in the game, I'm now only missing the summer festival horses and the Mirkwood reputation horse... wait, you asked something, I digress

Free to play: You cannot own a horse, unless you buy the Riding Skill in the store (95tp) and become a premium player
Premium: After completing the introduction (get the novice mark) and once you buy the riding skill, you need to buy a horse. Go to Breeland and Hengstacer farm and talk to the vendor there. 200-500 silver pieces each. You will then get a horse skill option that you can allocate to a quickslot. Find it in Character>Skill>Mounts
VIP: Once you reach level 20, go to Hengstacer farm and take the quest there. It's a horse race. When you win it and complete the race, you will get the riding skill and will then be able to buy a horse as above.

The initial mounts are low on health (100-150 hp) and run at 162% speed, so as you progress through the game and earn reputation with factions I recommend buying the "Prized" horses. They look awesome, have 250 hp and the very special ones run at 168% speed

    More details

I played this game for awhile. ITs pretty good. Lots of Tolkien fluff and lore. Gotta say though, MMOs all have a basic schtick that gets old fast. You know...grinding stuff.
