Nice thread. So here are my ideas.

I would change firstly the graphics.Too much bloom and HDR but medium quality textures for me and i have a strong pc.
Secondly i would remove the female-elf and replace it with male but with mastery in bows and healing. We all agree that the mage elf is lore-breaker.

EPIC BATTLES.And when i mean epic battles i assure you that the waves of orcs coming at you it's lame.I would prefer open battles with hundreds of soldiers fighting at the same time.Seriously, modifying your gear is not rpg(at least totally).I would change the whole world.More npc's at the locations you visit, not for quests only but for the feeling that you are in a living world because i felt quite lonely sometimes.

The fighting system is good and polished and i wouldn't change a thing.

So this is for the developers:Consider the fan-based opinions about this game and i assure you that the final product will be respected.I could write millions of changes as a fanatic LOTR fan but i know that the perfection is something that we can't reach.

I would change how the Quest system is completely broken and major quests fall off the log if you save mid level and try and come back (especially if you forget to check your log before proceeding and hit a save point with the missing quests and get permanently stuck and have to start over). I would also change how the developers have apparently abandoned their game or don't feel that all their hard work was worth it enough to respond to fans are wondering about a patch to fix these issues.

I would fix the stuttering issue which makes the game unplayable and it's been months since a patch. Good thing I didn't pay for this piece of crap game.

Idiot. If you didn't pay for the game, why the hell are you complaining here then in the first place?
Why the hell do you think you have any right to complain even though you didnt spend one cent to support this company? I swear, the stupidity of some people know no limits.

Imagine someone stealing a television and afterwards goign back to the store to complain it's not a LED.

You know, if less people pirated this game and more bought it, then maybe people wouldn't have been layed off from this company and you would have had your precious patch, you utterly dumb mofo.

This one's easy. I'd make the game function so that I can actually get my money's worth.

This one's easy: a character customization system identical to the Champions of Norrath one.

the main thing would be to have more than one save file.

thats just asking for trouble, and low and behold, there it is, especially with a coop game.

Yep, the save system is a little troubling. A few things feel a bit unbalanced at the high end. Eradan's range skills too weak. Explosive shot too powerful. Sanctuary detonation too powerful. Burst of Light (a little) too powerful. Orc shamen too powerful. Goblin sappers too powerful. Basically, stuff that explodes, goes from yawn! in normal difficulty, to 100x the damage on Heroic and Legendary.

I'm sure that's already been mentioned however.

The main thing for me, is that this is a very enjoyable game, it's just a little small.

More locations, more levels (even if they are only side quests not tied into main story).

And, how about being able to meet other people online in towns? The levels would still be limited to three chars, one elf, one dwarf, one ranger, but let us chat to, trade with and form PUGs with the player community in Bree, Sarn Ford, Rivendell, Nordinbad. Make it feel more MMO-like.

Finally, i'd appreciate the ability to micromanage the build of my AI-controlled companions. Allocate skill and stat points for them, tell them what gear to wear etc.

I'm so fed up of that glass chin AI Farin, running into melee all the time and taunting agro onto himself, ignoring heals and getting killed. And AI Andriel stacking Will (the most useless stat for her) and spamming ranged autoattack (her weakest skill) and detonating sanctuary while people around her need heals.

Basically, it's a great game (graphics and gameplay), just a little small. I'm under the impression that designing new levels is a lot easier than rewriting the engine, so just fill the world up with places to go, people to fight and bitty little quests to do, without wasting too much effort reinventing the same basic gameplay. MMOs keep people playing for years that way..
