    Re: Perks and Skills

Kinda interesting that perks are suggested here, because it seems that some perks will actually be in the game.

In the Playstation mag article, dwarves were said to have the ability (which is dwarf specific) to find hidden chambers in some dungeons that contained treasure (I.E loot) that players could plunder. It didn't discuss what (or if) elves and men had any perks like that.

I think there will also be a traditional skill tree. A "bubble shield" skill was described. It could block projectile attacks and the article said that if you "upgrade" the skill, the bubble will explode and damage enemies.

Hmm interesting. I wonder if it will be like Borderlands. I liked its skill tree.

It is a great idea because each race does have different skills to offer in the Lord of the Rings, and translating those into skills in the game should be easy and effective.

I agree. The races are separated more by skill and culture than by stature in Tolkien's Middle Earth.
